Andrzej Pola\u0144czyk from the Faculty of Process Engineering and Environmental Protection at the Lodz University of Technology<\/p>\n<p>The evaluation of the suitability of prostheses is carried out in several stages. First, on the basis of radiological examinations, the patient&#8217;s aorta models are produced in 3D printers. Different types of dentures are introduced to them; by simulating blood flow, the functioning is monitored, the safety level and the potential risks are assessed.<br \/>\nThe system is currently undergoing a patent procedure. In addition to Dr. Eng. Andrzej Pola\u0144czyk, MSc. Micha\u0142 Krempski-Smejda, MD Micha\u0142 Podg\u00f3rski, Dr. Eng. Maciej Pola\u0144czyk work on the prosthesis. The project is financed by the National Center for Research and Development.
