{"id":2725,"date":"2018-02-23T12:00:00","date_gmt":"2018-02-23T11:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/polishscience.pl\/polish-scientists-develop-research-in-sudan\/"},"modified":"2018-03-04T10:36:19","modified_gmt":"2018-03-04T09:36:19","slug":"polish-scientists-develop-research-in-sudan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.polishscience.pl\/en\/polish-scientists-develop-research-in-sudan\/","title":{"rendered":"Polish scientists develop research in Sudan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Soon, the Polish Archaeological Center of the Mediterranean Archeology Center of the University of Warsaw will start work in Khartoum, the capital of Sudan.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Currently, 11 scientific missions from Polish universities are working in Sudan &#8211; said Dr. Artur Ob\u0142uski, director of the Center of Mediterranean Archeology in Cairo (Egypt) &#8211; four research projects are underway, including ancient trade routes and human populations.<\/p>\n<p>The Polish Archaeological Center will be opened on February 27, 2018 with the participation of Sebastian Skuza, deputy minister of Science and Scholarship and Prof. Marcin Pa\u0142ys, Rector of the University of Warsaw. It will be headed by Prof. Mahmoud el-Tayeb, who has been associated with the University of Warsaw throughout his academic career.<\/p>\n<p>Polish archaeologists are still in the forefront of Nubia (ancient Sudan) research. At the end of the 1950s, the expedition of prof.
