They have won more than half a million zlotys for their projects.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Professor Aleksandra Miro\u0144czuk will spend a year in Spain as part of the scholarship, where she will study the ability of microorganisms to degrade various types of plastics.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Estera Trzcina, together with a team of Portuguese scientists, will work on better forecasting of violent phenomena using satellite radar interferometry (InSAR) technology.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dr Luca Demarchi has won a scholarship to travel to Australia.
