The general refurbishment of the historic complex of the former hospital on Hoene-Wro\u0144ski Street has been completed. The buildings house the Faculty of Mathematics of the Wroc\u0142aw University of Science and Technology, and from October it will also house the university’s Faculty of Medicine.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The complex, consisting of two buildings and a connecting passage, was designed by the famous German architect Max Berg, the author of, among other things, the design of the Centennial Hall. The hospital on the then Schulgasse street was one of his first projects in Wroc\u0142aw. Today, the building is listed as a historic monument.<\/span><\/p>\n

Originally, the complex housed the Municipal Children’s Hospital, and after World War II, clinics of the Medical University of Wroc\u0142aw operated there. In 2015, the facilities were bought by the Wroc\u0142aw University of Science and Technology, and now students and scientists have ‘moved in’ there after the renovation. The total cost of the modernisation of the complex including the equipment of the facility is almost PLN 50 million.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
