{"id":268970,"date":"2023-02-24T09:48:42","date_gmt":"2023-02-24T08:48:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/polishscience.pl\/?p=268970"},"modified":"2023-02-24T09:48:42","modified_gmt":"2023-02-24T08:48:42","slug":"sources-of-inequality-in-childcare-examined","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.polishscience.pl\/en\/sources-of-inequality-in-childcare-examined\/","title":{"rendered":"Sources of inequality in childcare examined"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An international research team including Professor Przemys\u0142aw B\u0105bel from the Institute of Psychology at the Jagiellonian University in Krak\u00f3w has investigated the sources of inequality in childcare between men and women.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To do this, young adults&#8217; parental leave plans were analysed. The team collected data from nearly 14,000 people (8880 women, 5062 men) aged 18-30 who were planning to have a child. The study covered 37 countries, varying in terms of the availability and length of parental leave and social attitudes towards gender equality.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In all countries surveyed, women intended to take longer parental leave than men.
