Igor Labuda, and Stanis\u0142aw Moso\u0144, (Department of Architectural Design and Engineering Graphics) and Dr Micha\u0142 Proksa, professor at the Rzesz\u00f3w University of Technology (Department of Urban Planning and Architecture) are working on an innovative kinetic energy absorber which will enable the absorption of kinetic energy and its dispersion during collisions and impacts with high force and speed, especially at speeds above 20 m\/s.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8216;Our aim is to develop an absorber that will serve to protect vehicle and building occupants. The device will be able to be used in conjunction with other protective measures, such as controlled crumple zones, to protect passengers and vehicles during crashes&#8217;, explains Dr Igor Labuda.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once refined and optimised, the device will be able to be used, among other things: in the automotive sector (e.g. in motor vehicles as a component of bumpers, a safety shock absorber, a component of road barriers) and in the construction industry (to absorb the kinetic energy of a falling lift or an aircraft impact on landings on buildings).<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Researchers from the Faculty of Construction, Environmental Engineering and Architecture at Rzesz\u00f3w University of Technology (PRz) Dr Eng.
