The three-year international educational project “PHERECLOS – Open Schooling as a tool to support effective education” has come to an end. The project was carried out by a consortium comprising 14 European institutions and universities – including the University of Silesia – and a university from Colombia.<\/p>\n

One of the most important activities was the Transnational Education Mentoring Partnerships programme, of which the Silesian university was the leader. This initiative created 10 international partnerships and involved a total of 44 partners – universities, children’s universities, schools and European institutions related to the formal or non-formal field of education.<\/p>\n

The Open Schooling education model enables and leverages collaboration between local formal and non-formal education actors, placing schools at the centre of the local community and allowing for reflection and response to external challenges.<\/p>\n
