The unit will deal with research into various types of artworks, comprehensive conservation and restoration of monuments, the creation of conservation projects and the development of new conservation methods.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Five laboratories are located on more than 4,000 square metres including Research and Conservation of Architectural Elements and Details, Research and Conservation of Painting and Polychrome Sculpture, Physical-Chemical and Non-Destructive Research, Research and Conservation of Paper and Leather, Research and Conservation of Modern Art, and two laboratories: a Photographic Laboratory and an Architecture Monuments Inventory and Research Laboratory.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The centre has been equipped with state-of-the-art equipment &#8211; including an XRD X-ray micro-diffractometer, a portable digital X-ray system, a polarising microscope, an XRF spectrometer, a metallographic microscope, an infrared spectrometer, 3D scanners and printers, and specialised photographic equipment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Read more: <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/portal.umk.pl\/pl\/article\/zabytki-na-swoim?utm_source=umk.pl&amp;utm_medium=news&amp;utm_campaign=zabytki-na-1422\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">https:\/\/portal.umk.pl\/pl\/article\/zabytki-na-swoim?utm_source=umk.pl&amp;utm_medium=news&amp;utm_campaign=zabytki-na-1422<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Centre for Research and Conservation of Cultural Heritage has been established at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toru\u0144.
