{"id":248202,"date":"2022-11-04T15:20:24","date_gmt":"2022-11-04T14:20:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/polishscience.pl\/?p=248202"},"modified":"2022-11-04T15:20:24","modified_gmt":"2022-11-04T14:20:24","slug":"best-masters-thesis-competition-on-machine-learning-or-data-analysis-awarded","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.polishscience.pl\/en\/best-masters-thesis-competition-on-machine-learning-or-data-analysis-awarded\/","title":{"rendered":"Best master&#8217;s thesis competition on machine learning or data analysis awarded"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Faculty of Mathematics and Information Sciences at the Warsaw University of Technology hosted a gala ceremony for a nationwide competition for the best master&#8217;s thesis on machine learning or data analysis.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Master&#8217;s theses presented at universities in Poland between 2020 and 2021 could be submitted to the competition in two categories: &#8220;Methods and Algorithms&#8221; and &#8220;Applications&#8221;. In total, 36 theses were submitted from all over Poland.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the &#8216;Methods and Algorithms&#8217; category, the first place was won by the thesis &#8216;The problem of regression for molecular spectra in mass spectroscopy and nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy&#8217; by Barbara Dom\u017ca\u0142 from the University of Warsaw.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the &#8216;Applications&#8217; category, the winning paper was the thesis by Micha\u0142 Pogoda from Wroc\u0142aw University of Science and Technology, &#8216;Comparative analysis of selected machine learning methods in the issue of detection and automatic correction of linguistic errors in texts&#8217;. <\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Faculty of Mathematics and Information Sciences at the Warsaw University of Technology hosted a gala ceremony for a nationwide competition for the best master&#8217;s thesis on machine learning or data analysis.
