The first assesses scientific achievements from a research career (using data from 1960 onwards), while the second only considers publications and citations from the last calendar year.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The list concerning scientific careers includes 1058 researchers from Poland &#8211; they represent 163 scientific institutions (universities and research institutes). In contrast, the previous year&#8217;s list included 1092 Poles from 165 institutions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The ranking is prepared by Stanford University in cooperation with the Elsevier publishing house.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The TOP 2% ranking was based on the scientific output of individual researchers according to a bibliometric index.
