Karolina Safarzy\u0144ska, PhD, economist and professor at the University of Warsaw, received the award in the humanities, social sciences and arts category. In the field of life sciences, the award was given to forest ecologist Dr Micha\u0142 Bogdziewicz, professor at Adam Mickiewicz University in Pozna\u0144, member of the Academy of Young Scientists of the Polish Academy of Sciences. The winner in the science and technology category is physicist Dr hab. Piotr Wcis\u0142o, professor at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toru\u0144.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This year&#8217;s competition was open to applicants born no earlier than 1981.
