The winner of this year&#8217;s competition was Dr Enrico Patrono from the Institute of Physiology at the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. His project &#8216;Breaking the Wall of Neuroscience Single- Discipline&#8217; dealt with unravelling the causes of the imbalance of neuronal processes found in schizophrenia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Second place was taken by Veronica \u010cervenkov\u00e1 from the Charles University in Prague, for her project &#8216;Breaking the Wall of Neuroscience Single- Discipline&#8217;. Third place was won by Erik Sonntag from the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague, presenting the project &#8216;Breaking the Wall of Medical Non-Compliance&#8217;.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The international competition is aimed at students and young scientists. Participants have three minutes to present their idea for a breakthrough technology, scientific paper or business.
