D\u0105browska, from the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toru\u0144 from the Faculty of Biological and Veterinary Sciences won the bronze medal of the &#8220;E-INNOVATE International Innovation Show 2022&#8221; international fair.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The awarded invention is a method for producing (eco)films from polylactide with tar, a product of dry wood distillation. Thanks to this component, a chocolate-coloured material was obtained, which has favourable functional, barrier and bacteriostatic properties against pathogenic microorganisms.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These advantages make the product stand out for its wide range of applications, including in horticulture, agriculture and the packaging industry.
