Lectures, workshops and exhibitions presented the latest developments and trends in materials science.<\/p>\n<p>The E-MRS conference consisted of 16 thematic symposia divided into 4 clusters: Functional Materials, Nanomaterials, Broadband Semiconductors, and Materials for Sustainability.<\/p>\n<p>Plenary lectures covered the latest issues in materials science. One of the events of the E-MRS 2022 Fall Meeting was also a competition for PhD students to present their achievements in 3 minutes. The challenge was taken up by 30 participants. The three best presentations were awarded prizes.<\/p>\n<p>The conference culminated in a plenary session, during which the Jan Czochralski Gold Medal for lifetime achievement was presented.
