The principal investigator is Dr Gra\u017cyna Wr\u00f3bel from the Department of Bone Marrow Transplantation, Oncology and Paediatric Haematology of the Medical University of Wroc\u0142aw.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lymphomas are the sixth cancer in terms of incidence. The disease mainly affects adults, with children being affected much less frequently. &#8220;Despite the fact that it is a rare disease, it ranks third among childhood cancers&#8221;, emphasises Dr Gra\u017cyna Wr\u00f3bel.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The aim of the study &#8216;International and multicentre programme for the treatment of lymphoblastic lymphoma (LBL) in children and adolescents&#8217; is to develop optimal treatment for children with this type of cancer, depending on the patient&#8217;s allocation to a specific group. Criteria include the stage of the disease, but also the profile of molecular changes in the tumour tissue.
