{"id":239467,"date":"2022-09-15T11:30:52","date_gmt":"2022-09-15T09:30:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/polishscience.pl\/?p=239467"},"modified":"2022-09-15T11:32:04","modified_gmt":"2022-09-15T09:32:04","slug":"graphene-matrix-developed-by-warsaw-university-scientists-to-help-diagnose-diseases","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.polishscience.pl\/en\/graphene-matrix-developed-by-warsaw-university-scientists-to-help-diagnose-diseases\/","title":{"rendered":"Graphene matrix developed by Warsaw University scientists to help diagnose diseases"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A team of researchers at the University of Warsaw (UW), led by Dr Barbara Kowalewska from the UW&#8217;s Department of Chemistry, has developed a graphene matrix with high stability enabling its use in medicine.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The matrix will be used as a key element in the design of a biosensor that monitors or diagnoses acquired and chronic diseases in a non-invasive way.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The use of graphene in the matrix developed by the UW researchers has enabled the efficient transmission of patient health data acquired by medical biosensors.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The technology for producing the matrix is covered by a patent. A licence agreement for its use has been concluded between the University of Warsaw and Biometryks LLC.
