{"id":238801,"date":"2022-09-12T11:39:50","date_gmt":"2022-09-12T09:39:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/polishscience.pl\/?p=238801"},"modified":"2022-09-12T11:40:12","modified_gmt":"2022-09-12T09:40:12","slug":"lublin-to-launch-sun-shows-through-the-telescope","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.polishscience.pl\/en\/lublin-to-launch-sun-shows-through-the-telescope\/","title":{"rendered":"Lublin to launch Sun shows through the telescope"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics of the Maria Curie-Sk\u0142odowska University (UMCS) in Lublin is inviting participants on 13-15 September 2022, at the monument to the university&#8217;s patron saint, to take part in open shows of the Sun, which will be organised as part of the Lublin Science Festival.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Using appropriate telescopes, we will look straight into the Sun together, announces the UMCS. During the show, we will observe solar protuberances at the edge of the Sun&#8217;s disk and in its background (filaments), as well as sunspots. At the show, two telescopes and binoculars will be available to observe the Sun.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The show is aimed at all those interested in astronomy and those who are laymen in the field.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The event is intended to bring closer the mysteries of the phenomena occurring on the Sun and their influence on the state of the Earth&#8217;s atmosphere and its magnetic field.
