As a result, many atlases and textbooks will have to be corrected. In fact, \u015awinica turned out to be one metre higher, Skrajny Granat on Orla Perc three metres higher, and the border post on Rysy is already 2500 m above sea level.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The campaign to measure the heights of the peaks in the High and Western Tatras was carried out by scientists from the Institute of Geodesy and Geoinformatics at the Wroc\u0142aw university. To carry out the measurements, they travelled a total of more than 231 km of trails, covering an altitude difference (up and down) of 39963 m, more than four times the height of Mount Everest!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The measurements were taken under the auspices of the Tatra National Park.
