Designed by the Polish company Intelligent Hives, the system monitors temperature, humidity, sound frequencies, image and location of the hive, thanks to appropriate sensors placed in the hives. The devices support beekeepers in apiary management by providing an easy-to-use hive monitoring system.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u0141ukasiewicz &#8211; \u0141IT also proposed a solution to use ecological insulation material to equip the hives in smart apiaries, which is environmentally and human health friendly. At the same time, it ensures the reduction of biomass waste in the form of feathers, lingering and polluting the environment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Setting up a network of smart apiaries in both urban and rural areas will increase public awareness of the role and importance of bees in nature.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The primary aim of the project&#8217;s activities is to increase the quality of honey, which will allow processed sugars to be replaced in the diets of children and young people.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Researchers from the \u0141ukasiewicz &#8211; \u0141\u00f3d\u017a Institute of Technology ( \u0141IT) are analysing data collected by smart beehives.
