{"id":23648,"date":"2018-06-25T18:07:03","date_gmt":"2018-06-25T16:07:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/polishscience.pl\/?p=23648"},"modified":"2018-06-25T18:07:03","modified_gmt":"2018-06-25T16:07:03","slug":"pm-gowins-reform-to-develop-science-in-poland","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.polishscience.pl\/en\/pm-gowins-reform-to-develop-science-in-poland\/","title":{"rendered":"PM Gowin\u2019s Reform to develop science in Poland"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The PM Gowin\u2019s Reform gives an opportunity for the development of science disciplines that today are lost in large departments of universities &#8211; writes philosopher Dr. Mieszko Ta\u0142asiewicz in the &#8220;Rzeczpospolita&#8221; daily and emphasizes that the new law on science and higher education opens up a good perspective for Polish humanities.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In his article, Ta\u0142asiewicz rejects the accusation that the law &#8220;favors large and metropolitan universities against the small and provincial high schools.&#8221; The philosopher describes this as half-truth, because &#8211; in his opinion &#8211; the law favors simply good universities.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Not always what is big is good and what is smaller is worse. There are great universities in smaller cities and weaker ones &#8211; in bigger ones. The new Act will allow universities to see what strengths and weaknesses they have and what is completely useless.
