The result of her research interests is the book &#8220;Equine Thermography in Practice&#8221;, which was published by the British publishing house CABI.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Thermography is a diagnostic method that consists in non-invasive registration of the infrared radiation energy emitted from the surface of the body and transforming it into a temperature value.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cAny increase in temperature means inflammation and, importantly, thermography can detect it, even in the subclinical state of inflammation, when the animal shows no visible symptoms. A thermal imaging camera is a sensitive device that can detect temperature changes up to 0.1\u00ba C. Thanks to this, we are able to show the lesions occurring in the animal&#8217;s body before they fully develop &#8211; says prof.
