\u201cThe establishment of a modern genetic laboratory at our university is a completely new opening. Genetics is the basis. Most diseases are genetically determined. We are not able to recognize a whole range of rare diseases on the basis of a classic clinical examination. These are conditions that hide all genetic diversity behind a single disease. \u201cGenetics now has a basic application in the diagnosis of a huge number of diseases, such as rare diseases or cancer\u201d, says Prof. Maria S\u0105siadek, head of the Chair and Department of Genetics at the Wroc\u0142aw university.<\/p>\n
