The European Commission considered this method to be the most appropriate way to assess the potential environmental impact of products and created a European platform to support the implementation of LCA in business and national legislation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cLife cycle assessment is a unique method that is used to assess the impact of products, services or technological processes on the environment on the basis of a summary of material and energy balances and environmental assessment in many impact categories throughout the life cycle &#8211; says Dr Eng.
