Przemys\u0142aw Data, from the Silesian University of Technology developed new chemical compounds that can be used as light emitters in OLED. This is another step towards even more efficient displays in line with the trend of sustainable technologies.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Image displays accompany people at every step. Those based on OLED emit light without the need for additional backlighting &#8211; so they can be thinner and lighter and achieve higher contrast.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The light emission in OLED is caused by an organic semiconductor layer placed between two electrodes, one of which is transparent.
