S\u0142awomir Zonenberg from the University of Kazimierz Wielki in Bydgoszcz. The grant was awarded under the National Program for the Development of Humanities &#8211; informs the university.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>2019 marked the 500th anniversary of the first edition of &#8220;Chronica Polonorum&#8221; by Maciej of Miech\u00f3w. The chronicle is one of the most important sources in the history of Poland for the years 1480-1506. The chronicle, in addition to the historical layer, also contains a lot of information in the field of cultural history, medicine, ethnography and historical geography.<\/p>\n<p>The project is conceived as a research, translation and editorial endeavor. Its main goal is to prepare a book containing an edition of the Latin text of the chronicle and its Polish translation, along with critical commentaries: on source studies, philology, history and history and culture.<\/p>\n<p>.
