{"id":228982,"date":"2022-07-18T11:41:46","date_gmt":"2022-07-18T09:41:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/polishscience.pl\/?p=228982"},"modified":"2022-07-18T11:41:46","modified_gmt":"2022-07-18T09:41:46","slug":"polish-slovenian-project-to-improve-battery-performance","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.polishscience.pl\/en\/polish-slovenian-project-to-improve-battery-performance\/","title":{"rendered":"Polish-Slovenian project to improve battery performance"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Scientists from the Faculty of Chemistry, Warsaw University of Technology (WUT) and the National Institute of Chemistry from Slovenia are looking for solutions that will improve battery performance.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Polish-Slovenian project &#8220;Additives for high energy batteries based on divalent metal ions and organic cathode&#8221; received funding in the OPUS 22 + LAP \/ WEAVE competition, carried out by the National Science Center and the Slovenian Research Agency.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As part of the project, researchers from Poland and Slovenia set out to develop the potential of metal-organic batteries.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWe want to improve the properties of new generation cells, which are based on calcium and magnesium ions and an organic cathode\u201d, explains Prof. W\u0142adys\u0142aw Wieczorek from the Faculty of Chemistry, project manager.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Researchers intend to apply additives to electrolytes.
