The design of the Student Dormitory by students of architecture at the University of Zielona G\u00f3ra was in the final of the 4YoungEngineers competition organized by the Builder Polska monthly and the Concrete Producers Association. The students’ task was to create a conceptual design of a modern dream dormitory in a selected location.<\/b><\/p>\n
The idea of students from Zielona G\u00f3ra is to preserve the natural environment in an undeteriorated condition for future generations. The main idea is to leave as much as possible the biologically active area of the plot on which the building is located and to create a creative, life-friendly student space.<\/span><\/p>\n The designed facility consists of three overhanging segments – two common spaces and one residential. The applied elevation of the building will allow for maintaining the urban openness to the existing university buildings, natural ventilation of the area, and at the same time it can become an icon of the campus.<\/span><\/p>\n
