The organization associates almost 5 thousand scientists from various fields, including over a hundred Poles.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Academia Europaea was founded in 1988 on the initiative of the British Royal Society, the world&#8217;s oldest scientific society, and the Swedish Academy of Sciences. The Academy invites scientists with outstanding achievements to join its group. It currently associates nearly 5 thousand specialists, including over 70 Nobel laureates.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prof. Marciniak specializes mainly in issues in historical sciences, including the theory and methodology of prehistory. Directing the work of Polish and British scientists, he made a breakthrough discovery. It turned out that 8.2 thousand years ago, the megacities of \u00c7atalh\u00f6y\u00fck in today&#8217;s Turkey collapsed as a result of rapid climate change.
