The competition awards Polish inventions that have the potential to be used in the economy and in production.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This year, the main prize was awarded to &#8220;The method of deactivating antibiotics in aqueous solutions&#8221;. The innovative method breaks down antibiotics that end up in our rivers and lakes, e.g. through the sewage system or from the pharmaceutical and agricultural industries.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Scientists have constructed a reaction-discharge system with cold atmospheric plasma, working in a flow system for treating wastewater &#8211; from various industries &#8211; from antibiotics.
