He is also one of the founders of IREG and a long-term vice-president of this organization. His predecessor as president was Luiz Claudio Costa, Brazil&#8217;s former minister of education.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">IREG Observatory on Academic Ranking and Excellence is an international non-profit organization registered in Belgium, grouping authors and analysts of academic rankings. Its members include major ranking organizations as well as universities and accreditation agencies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The election of the new authorities was the final touch of the international conference IREG 2022, organized under the slogan &#8220;Academic Rankings at the Crossroads&#8221;, which was held at the University of Warsaw on 23 and 24 June.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The General Assembly of IREG Observatory on Academic Ranking and Excellence has elected Waldemar Siwi\u0144ski as the new president of this organization.
