According to the report of the Central Statistical Office (GUS) “Higher education in the 2021\/2022 academic year”, as of December 31, 2021, there were 1,218.2 thousand students enrolled in higher education institutions in Poland, by 2.9 thousand more for the previous year. In the 2020\/21 academic year, 297.4 thousand graduates received their graduation diplomas, by 3.9 thousand more than in the 2019\/20 academic year.<\/b><\/p>\n
In the academic year 2021\/22, women accounted for 58.4% of students. 783.4 thousand people (64.3% of students) attended full-time studies, while 434.7 thousand people part-time studies.<\/span><\/p>\n The most frequently chosen groups of studies were: Business, Administration and Law chosen by 22.5% of all students, Technology, Industry, Construction (14.0%), Health and Social Care (12.8%) and Social Sciences, Journalism and information (12.3%).<\/span><\/p>\n There were 89.4 thousand foreign students in Poland with the largest group being Ukrainians (36.0 thousand, 40.3% of all foreigners), Belarus (11.1 thousand <\/span>
\n<\/span>– 12.4%) and Turks (2.9 thousand – 3,2%).<\/span><\/p>\n
