Students of the Faculty of Marine Technology and Transport of the West Pomeranian University of Technology – Laura Wojnicz, Dawid Mi\u0142ek and Pawe\u0142 Grzelak took third place in the international competition “Black Sea Science 2022” for writing a scientific work in energy and energy efficiency.<\/b><\/p>\n

The winning study “Energy Efficiency of the Transport of Containers on Container Ships” examines the effect of different locations of refrigerated containers on ships on the energy used by these cargo vessels.<\/span><\/p>\n

Students analyzed four variants of the arrangement of a group of refrigerated containers on the deck of a container ship. Using a mathematical model, they calculated the heat balance of refrigerated containers under specific operating conditions and different locations.<\/span><\/p>\n

The “Black Sea Science 2022” competition is organized by the Odessa National University of Technology with the support of the Ukrainian Ministry of Education and Science.<\/span><\/p>\n
