The award was granted for the development of the PIAP FENIX light reconnaissance robot.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The purpose of the Laurel of Innovation competition, organized by the Federation of Scientific and Technical Associations, the Supreme Technical Organization, is to promote modern products, technologies and services, which supports the economic development and competitiveness of the Polish economy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">PIAP FENIX was created to conduct reconnaissance and neutralization during EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) activities. The robot can be used during operations in places inaccessible to humans, and day and night (optional thermovision) cameras mounted on the basis of a mobile robot, enable observation around the clock.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The excellent terrain properties of the PIAP FENIX robot ensure easy movement on paved and dirt roads, off-road, as well as in urban areas and when overcoming obstacles.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The \u0141ukasiewicz Research Network &#8211; Industrial Institute for Automation and Measurements (PIAP) received the Golden Laurel of Innovation in the Automation category.
