{"id":201939,"date":"2021-11-15T14:30:14","date_gmt":"2021-11-15T13:30:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/polishscience.pl\/?p=201939"},"modified":"2021-11-15T14:30:14","modified_gmt":"2021-11-15T13:30:14","slug":"polish-academy-of-sciences-to-revitalize-the-dobrowolski-polish-antarctic-station","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.polishscience.pl\/en\/polish-academy-of-sciences-to-revitalize-the-dobrowolski-polish-antarctic-station\/","title":{"rendered":"Polish Academy of Sciences to revitalize the Dobrowolski Polish Antarctic Station"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>On November 10, 2021, a special expedition, organized by the Institute of Geophysics of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN), set off to the AB Dobrowolski<\/strong> <strong>Polish Antarctic Station.\u00a0It is the oldest Polish Antarctic station, unused since 1987.\u00a0The participants of the expedition are planning to start research\u00a0deep structures of the Earth and the generation process of the Earth&#8217;s magnetic field.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Polish return to the base and its revitalization gives Poland a new, unique opportunity to develop research techniques and modern technologies.<\/p>\n<p>The 4th Geophysical Expedition to the station is led by Prof.\u00a0Marek Lewandowski (expedition leader, geophysicist), Prof.\u00a0Eng.\u00a0Monika A.
