During their stay in China, the rector and vice-rector of the Gda\u0144sk university started talks with four other universities and took part in the conference University Alliance of the Silk Road in Xi&#8217;an.<br \/>\nProfessor Jacek Namie\u015bnik, rector of the Gda\u0144sk University of Technology and Prof. Janusz T. Cie\u015bli\u0144ski, vice-rector for organization met the authorities of the Harbin Institute of Technology, of Shaanxi Normal University, of Chang &#8216;an University and of the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology. The talks ended with declarations of willingness to start cooperation.<br \/>\nThe rectors of the Gda\u0144sk University also participated in the international conference University Alliance of the Silk Road &#8211; associating 135 universities from 36 countries of the non-governmental institution, which aims to internationalize higher education, and stimulate the economic development of the countries associated with the Silk Road Economic Belt.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Gda\u0144sk University of Technology has signed a five-year cooperation agreement with Xidian University.
