{"id":198929,"date":"2021-10-19T16:13:11","date_gmt":"2021-10-19T14:13:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/polishscience.pl\/?p=198929"},"modified":"2021-10-19T16:13:11","modified_gmt":"2021-10-19T14:13:11","slug":"catholic-university-of-lublin-inaugurates-the-academic-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.polishscience.pl\/en\/catholic-university-of-lublin-inaugurates-the-academic-year\/","title":{"rendered":"Catholic University of Lublin inaugurates the academic year"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Przemys\u0142aw Czarnek, the Minister of Education and Science, took part in the inauguration of the academic year at the Catholic University of Lublin (KUL).\u00a0During the event, he delivered an inaugural lecture\u00a0\u201cThe dispute over the rule of law\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The head of the Ministry of Science emphasized that the issue of the rule of law is not a new topic at the Catholic University of Lublin.\u00a0Nineteen years ago, a similar topic was discussed by Prof.\u00a0Wojciech \u0141\u0105czkowski, a longtime professor of law.<\/p>\n<p>The rule of law binds all organs of public authority.\u00a0The state must have a law that binds, in particular, public authorities.\u00a0Public authorities are obliged to comply with the law and conduct their activities only on the basis of the provisions of the law and within the limits specified by that law &#8211; said Minister Czarnek.<\/p>\n<p>He also pointed out that although democracy is a system of clashing opinions and views, the truth must also be protected in a democratic state.\u00a0It is impossible to establish the truth with the help of democracy &#8211; he added.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Przemys\u0142aw Czarnek, the Minister of Education and Science, took part in the inauguration of the academic year at the Catholic University of Lublin (KUL).\u00a0During the event, he delivered an inaugural lecture\u00a0\u201cThe dispute over the rule of law\u201d.
