The jury selected five winners of the main prizes in the amount of 15 thousand PLN from fifteen scientists who reached the finals from\u00a0over 400 applications.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The winners of the Polityka 2021 Scientific Awards were:<\/p>\n

– in the humanities category – Dr Micha\u0142 Przeperski\u00a0from the Laboratory of the History of Humanistic and\u00a0Social\u00a0Ideas\u00a0at the\u00a0Institute of the History of Science of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN);<\/p>\n

– in the category of social sciences – Dr Maciej Stolarski, from the\u00a0Department of Psychological Diagnosis and\u00a0Psychometry, Faculty of Psychology, University of Warsaw;<\/p>\n

– in the life science category – Prof.\u00a0Micha\u0142 Gr\u0105t from the\u00a0Department and\u00a0Clinic of General, Transplant and\u00a0Liver\u00a0Surgery,\u00a0Medical University of Warsaw;<\/p>\n

– in the exact sciences category – Dr Sebastian Trojanowski, Assistant Professor at\u00a0the Particle Astrophysics Group at\u00a0the Astronomical Center of the Polish Academy of Sciences and at the\u00a0National Center for Nuclear Research;<\/p>\n

– in the category of technical sciences – Dr\u00a0Eng.\u00a0Beata Bochentyn, the Faculty of Technical Physics and\u00a0Applied Mathematics of the Gda\u0144sk University of Technology.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
