The lecture in English will be given by Gerard Keown, the Irish ambassador to Poland.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Introduction to the lecture will be presented by Dr Wawrzyniec Konarski. During the seminar, the participants will focus on the position of sovereign Ireland as a subject of international relations, its efforts to end the conflict in Northern Ireland and Polish-Irish relations in the interwar period and after Poland&#8217;s admission to the European Union.<\/p>\n<p>Gerard Keown is Ireland&#8217;s ambassador to Poland since March 2015. He has been working in Irish diplomacy since 1996.
