The University of Zielona G\u00f3ra has joined the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) – an international consortium associating over 500 members representing\u00a0research units and universities as well as private and public institutions from around the world.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The main goal of OGC is to develop new standards related to the recording, presentation, accessibility and exchange of spatial data sets.\u00a0OGC offers access to the latest data in: flood monitoring, spatial planning, information on seismic hazards, crop control, irrigation, disease risk and even losses caused by human or animal activity.<\/p>\n

It is also an opportunity to use data sets for teaching purposes, conduct research projects, write diploma and doctoral dissertations and apply for projects and grants in international and national competitions.<\/p>\n
