{"id":191889,"date":"2021-08-25T21:23:29","date_gmt":"2021-08-25T19:23:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/polishscience.pl\/?p=191889"},"modified":"2021-08-25T21:23:29","modified_gmt":"2021-08-25T19:23:29","slug":"scientists-from-the-cardinal-stefan-wyszynski-university-research-a-unique-collection","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.polishscience.pl\/en\/scientists-from-the-cardinal-stefan-wyszynski-university-research-a-unique-collection\/","title":{"rendered":"Scientists from the Cardinal Stefan Wyszy\u0144ski University research a unique collection"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Researchers from the Institute of Art History of the Cardinal Stefan Wyszy\u0144ski University (UKSW) in Warsaw are working on an exceptional collection including projects of designs for furnishing the chapel in \u0141agiewniki from the 19th century.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Dr Katarzyna Chrudzimska-Uhera and Dr\u00a0Anna Czy\u017c from the Institute of Art History at UKSW will analyze the collection of designs, drawings and architectural plans located in \u017bo\u0142ynia near Rzesz\u00f3w.<\/p>\n<p>The legacy of the two-generation woodcarving family of D\u0105browski includes works by recognized artists, including\u00a0from Krakow, Lviv and Przemy\u015bl, including Tomasz Pryli\u0144ski, Ferdynand and Stanis\u0142aw Majerski and Adolf Minasiewicz.\u00a0So far, almost 3,000 drawings have been inventoried, including the oldest ones from the 1860s.<\/p>\n<p>The work carried out by researchers from the UKSW Institute of Art History is possible thanks to the financial support of the POLONIKA Institute and an agreement with the Municipal Cultural Center in \u017bo\u0142ynia.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Researchers from the Institute of Art History of the Cardinal Stefan Wyszy\u0144ski University (UKSW) in Warsaw are working on an exceptional collection including projects of designs for furnishing the chapel in \u0141agiewniki from the 19th century.
