{"id":191559,"date":"2021-08-23T18:00:37","date_gmt":"2021-08-23T16:00:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/polishscience.pl\/?p=191559"},"modified":"2021-08-23T18:00:37","modified_gmt":"2021-08-23T16:00:37","slug":"scientists-from-the-gdansk-university-of-technology-creating-a-diagnostic-system-for-trams","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.polishscience.pl\/en\/scientists-from-the-gdansk-university-of-technology-creating-a-diagnostic-system-for-trams\/","title":{"rendered":"Scientists from the Gda\u0144sk University of Technology creating a diagnostic system for trams"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Researchers from the Gda\u0144sk University of Technology are working on the implementation of a tram diagnostic system that will avoid breakdowns.\u00a0The project is carried out in cooperation with the\u00a0company Gda\u0144skie Buses and Trams.\u00a0It will be the first such extensive system of this type in Poland.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Researchers will observe selected tram performance parameters, including\u00a0data from sensors monitoring temperature, suspension subsidence or hydraulic pressure in brakes &#8211; in order to notice disturbing changes in their values \u200b\u200band warn against an impending failure.<\/p>\n<p>-We would like to indicate in advance the moments when the machine should be serviced or repaired.\u00a0Unforeseen tram stops and immediate refurbishment are always very expensive.
