Limit-Off-Vehicle (LOV) will be at least half cheaper than currently available off-road wheelchairs.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The wheelchair will be able to move on a surface with a large inclination angle, even up to 30 degrees.\u00a0It will be equipped with an active safety system to prevent the vehicle from side- or rear-rollovers, and it will have a variable track width.\u00a0The vehicle is modular in order to adapt to the changing needs of the user.<\/p>\n<p>Works on LOV are financed by the &#8220;Things are for people&#8221; program of the National Center for Research and Development.\u00a0They are conducted by a team of 11 researchers including professors, young scientists, doctoral students and students from the Department of Vehicle Engineering.\u00a0People with disabilities and physiotherapists working in the Association &#8220;Your new opportunities&#8221; are also participating in the project.<\/p>\n<p>More:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/translate.google.com\/translate?hl=ru&amp;prev=_t&amp;sl=pl&amp;tl=en&amp;u=https:\/\/pwr.edu.pl\/uczelnia\/aktualnosci\/off-roadowy-wozek-dla-osob-z-niepelnosprawnosciami-powstaje-na-pwr-12114.html\">https:\/\/pwr.edu.pl\/uczelnia\/aktualnosci\/off-roadowy-wozek-dla-osob-z-niepelnara\u0144nosciami-powstaje-na-pwr-12114.html<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Researchers of the Wroc\u0142aw University of Science and Technology have designed a wheelchair for people with disabilities, which will allow them to go to the forest, to the beach or to climb the mountain.
