{"id":189720,"date":"2021-08-09T13:35:36","date_gmt":"2021-08-09T11:35:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/polishscience.pl\/?p=189720"},"modified":"2021-08-09T13:35:36","modified_gmt":"2021-08-09T11:35:36","slug":"national-science-center-announced-sonatina-5-results","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.polishscience.pl\/en\/national-science-center-announced-sonatina-5-results\/","title":{"rendered":"National Science Center announced SONATINA 5 results"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The National Science Center (NCN) has announced the results of the fifth SONATINA competition.\u00a0Researchers who have recently received a doctoral degree will receive almost PLN 34 million for research and internships at prestigious foreign centers.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Within the competition, young researchers submitted 160 applications for a total of over PLN 100 million.\u00a0The NCN experts awarded 52 applications with funding of almost PLN 34 million, which means that the success rate was 32.5%.\u00a0The awarded grants will cover the costs of full-time employment of the competition winners in Polish research units, implementation of basic and applied research, and 3 to 6-month internships abroad.<\/p>\n<p>63 applications were submitted within the humanities, art and social sciences.\u00a020 applications were selected and received financing worth over PLN 10.6 million.\u00a0In science and technology, 61 project proposals were submitted, with 20 applications receiving grants for over PLN 12.5 million.\u00a0Within the life sciences, the NCN received 36 applications, and it awarded 12 with the amount over PLN 10.7 million.<\/p>\n<p>Ranking lists of the SONATINA 5 competition:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/translate.google.com\/translate?hl=ru&amp;prev=_t&amp;sl=pl&amp;tl=en&amp;u=https:\/\/www.ncn.gov.pl\/konkursy\/wyniki\/2020-08-05-sonatina5\">https:\/\/www.ncn.gov.pl\/konkursy\/wyniki\/2020-08-05-sonatina5<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The National Science Center (NCN) has announced the results of the fifth SONATINA competition.\u00a0Researchers who have recently received a doctoral degree will receive almost PLN 34 million for research and internships at prestigious foreign centers.
