{"id":189590,"date":"2021-08-06T19:40:05","date_gmt":"2021-08-06T17:40:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/polishscience.pl\/?p=189590"},"modified":"2021-08-06T19:40:05","modified_gmt":"2021-08-06T17:40:05","slug":"scientists-from-the-polish-academy-of-sciences-examined-the-diet-of-the-red-mason-bee","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.polishscience.pl\/en\/scientists-from-the-polish-academy-of-sciences-examined-the-diet-of-the-red-mason-bee\/","title":{"rendered":"Scientists from the Polish Academy of Sciences examined the diet of the red mason bee"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Aleksandra Splitt and Dr\u00a0Piotr Sk\u00f3rka from the Institute of Nature Conservation of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN) in cooperation with scientists from the Institute of Horticulture &#8211; National Research Institute and the Faculty of Environmental Biology of the University of Life Sciences in Lublin conducted research on the nutritional preferences of the red mason bee (Osmia bicornis).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Scientists investigated what kind of pollen the red mason bee collects depending on the degree of environmental urbanization.<\/p>\n<p>Researchers have shown that in rural and suburban areas, bees collect more diverse pollen, mainly from herbaceous plants and shrubs.
