{"id":188631,"date":"2021-07-30T15:37:47","date_gmt":"2021-07-30T13:37:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/polishscience.pl\/?p=188631"},"modified":"2021-07-30T15:37:47","modified_gmt":"2021-07-30T13:37:47","slug":"prof-pawel-zajdel-receives-polish-french-award-of-the-french-chemical-society","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.polishscience.pl\/en\/prof-pawel-zajdel-receives-polish-french-award-of-the-french-chemical-society\/","title":{"rendered":"Prof. Pawe\u0142 Zajdel receives Polish-French Award of the French Chemical Society"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Professor Pawe\u0142 Zajdel from the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Collegium Medicum of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, received the Polish-French Prize of the French Chemical Society (Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Chimique de France) in recognition of his scientific achievements and merits in various projects he carried out in cooperation with the French side.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The researcher deals with the &#8220;development of ligands of selected proteins, such as G-protein coupled receptors (GCPR), in particular modulators of dopamine and serotonin receptors, in order to treat neurodegenerative diseases of the central nervous system (Schizophrenia, Alzheimer&#8217;s disease)&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Prof.\u00a0Zajdel presented his doctoral thesis in 2006 under the supervision of Professors Maciej Paw\u0142owski and Jean Martinez.\u00a0Later, he supervised two doctoral dissertations under the joint efforts of the Jagiellonian University and the University of Montpellier.<\/p>\n<p>Collaboration with Professors J. Martinez, G. Subra and Dr F. Lamata and Dr X.
