{"id":187659,"date":"2021-07-22T16:19:45","date_gmt":"2021-07-22T14:19:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/polishscience.pl\/?p=187659"},"modified":"2021-07-22T16:19:45","modified_gmt":"2021-07-22T14:19:45","slug":"students-of-the-warsaw-university-of-technology-developing-an-application-for-managing-culinary-recipes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.polishscience.pl\/en\/students-of-the-warsaw-university-of-technology-developing-an-application-for-managing-culinary-recipes\/","title":{"rendered":"Students of the Warsaw University of Technology developing an application for managing culinary recipes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Students of the Warsaw University of Technology (PW) have created the Chefs&#8217; application for easy management of culinary recipes.\u00a0Now they are developing a new module to facilitate the analysis of meals.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The application of WUT students Bart\u0142omiej Gajda and Micha\u0142 Grzeszczyk won the Huawei AI Challenge 2020 competition.<\/p>\n<p>Now they have significantly expanded their project.\u00a0To facilitate the management of recipes, they created an artificial intelligence module.\u00a0As they explain, it is enough to take a picture of a cookbook or a screenshot from the Internet, and the application will automatically find the text on it and use a neural network to divide it into appropriate categories, such as title, ingredients or recipe\u2019s steps.<\/p>\n<p>They also added a new module for automatical calculating the energy value of meals based on the content of the recipes and identifying ingredients that may affect health negatively.<\/p>\n<p>Chef&#8217;s application in four languages (Polish, English, German and Spanish) is available in\u00a0Google Play\u00a0stores\u00a0and\u00a0Huawei App Gallery.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Students of the Warsaw University of Technology (PW) have created the Chefs&#8217; application for easy management of culinary recipes.\u00a0Now they are developing a new module to facilitate the analysis of meals.
