{"id":183809,"date":"2021-06-23T15:26:56","date_gmt":"2021-06-23T13:26:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/polishscience.pl\/?p=183809"},"modified":"2021-06-23T15:26:56","modified_gmt":"2021-06-23T13:26:56","slug":"scientist-from-the-lodz-university-of-technology-becomes-a-member-of-academia-europaea","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.polishscience.pl\/en\/scientist-from-the-lodz-university-of-technology-becomes-a-member-of-academia-europaea\/","title":{"rendered":"Scientist from the Lodz University of Technology becomes a member of Academia Europaea"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Prof.\u00a0Tomasz Kapitaniak, who\u00a0heads the\u00a0Department of Dynamics\u00a0at the Lodz University of Technology, became a member of the physics &amp; engineering sciences section of the Academia Europaea, an elite association of scientists advising the European Commission.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Academia Europaea, founded\u00a0on the initiative of the British Royal Society, the world&#8217;s oldest scientific society and the Swedish Academy of Sciences,\u00a0is inviting scientists with outstanding achievements to join its group.\u00a0It is an elite association that can be joined by invitation only and is peer-reviewed by carefully selected scholars.\u00a0Academia Europaea currently has more than 4,500 members from all over the world, including many Nobel Prize winners.<\/p>\n<p>Prof. Kapitaniak has become an Assistant Professor at the age of 29, he received the title of the professor when he was 36. He has published 311 scientific articles in prestigious journals, cited more than 6 000 times. He is an international authority in the field of so-called deterministic chaos and control of irregular movements.
