{"id":183319,"date":"2021-06-18T14:00:42","date_gmt":"2021-06-18T12:00:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/polishscience.pl\/?p=183319"},"modified":"2021-06-18T14:00:42","modified_gmt":"2021-06-18T12:00:42","slug":"foundation-for-polish-science-awarded-polish-alexander-von-humboldt-honorary-research-scholarships","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.polishscience.pl\/en\/foundation-for-polish-science-awarded-polish-alexander-von-humboldt-honorary-research-scholarships\/","title":{"rendered":"Foundation for Polish Science awarded Polish Alexander von Humboldt Honorary Research Scholarships"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The Foundation for Polish Science (FNP) has selected the winners of the Polish Alexander von Humboldt Honorary Scientific Scholarship.\u00a0It is awarded to scientifically active German scientists who want to come to Poland for a research stay of several months.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This year&#8217;s scholarships were awarded to:<\/p>\n<p>Prof.\u00a0J\u00fcrgen Kurths\u00a0from the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research, who during his research stay at the Department of Dynamics of the Lodz University of Technology will implement the project &#8220;Undertaking chimera states in coupled mechanical oscillators&#8221;\u00a0in cooperation with Prof.\u00a0Tomasz Kapitaniak;<\/p>\n<p>Prof.\u00a0Gerd Meyer\u00a0from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, who, as part of a scholarship at the Polish Center for Technology Development of the \u0141ukasiewicz Research Network, will implement the project &#8220;Light converting layers&#8221;\u00a0in cooperation with Prof.\u00a0Alicja Bachmatiuk;<\/p>\n<p>Dr Grzegorz Rossolinski-Liebe\u00a0from the Free University of Berlin, who during his research stay at the Center for Research on the Extermination of Jews at the Institute of Philology and Sociology of the Polish Academy of Sciences will implement the project &#8220;Polish City Mayors and the Administration of the General Government: Holocaust, Occupation, and Collaboration&#8221;\u00a0in cooperation with Prof.\u00a0Barbara Engelking.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Foundation for Polish Science (FNP) has selected the winners of the Polish Alexander von Humboldt Honorary Scientific Scholarship.\u00a0It is awarded to scientifically active German scientists who want to come to Poland for a research stay of several months.
