{"id":181075,"date":"2021-06-01T18:34:35","date_gmt":"2021-06-01T16:34:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/polishscience.pl\/?p=181075"},"modified":"2021-06-01T18:34:35","modified_gmt":"2021-06-01T16:34:35","slug":"poles-trust-science","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.polishscience.pl\/en\/poles-trust-science\/","title":{"rendered":"Poles trust science"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>During the pandemic, science is gaining in importance in Poland &#8211; emphasizes the 3M study &#8220;State of Science Index&#8221; conducted in 2021 in 17 countries.\u00a0It shows that as many as 89% of Poles trust science.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As a result of the pandemic, Poles have become less sceptical of science &#8211; 20% of the population do not trust it, 7% less than three years ago. Poles trust science more than other nationalities (Great Britain &#8211; 24%, France &#8211; 26%, Germany &#8211; 31%, USA &#8211; 35%). The most common cause of trust in science in Poland is the belief in scientific methodology (55%), and the cause of scepticism &#8211; contradictory opinions of scientists (62%). Scientists are among the most trusted groups in Poland &#8211; 60% of Poles believe scientists and engineers.<\/p>\n<p>The study also shows that Poles miss the lifting of the requirement to use masks the most (70%).
