{"id":179974,"date":"2021-05-24T17:16:48","date_gmt":"2021-05-24T15:16:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/polishscience.pl\/?p=179974"},"modified":"2021-05-24T17:16:48","modified_gmt":"2021-05-24T15:16:48","slug":"polish-scientists-to-counteract-drought-in-poland","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.polishscience.pl\/en\/polish-scientists-to-counteract-drought-in-poland\/","title":{"rendered":"Polish scientists to counteract drought in Poland"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Representatives of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN), 15 universities and the Ministry of Climate and Environment signed a letter of intent, which provides for their joint actions to counteract drought in Poland.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This cooperation will involve the exchange of knowledge and experience as well as the use of the scientific and didactic potential of scientific communities.<\/p>\n<p>The Minister of Climate and the Environment, Micha\u0142 Kurtyka, noted that effective prevention of drought can only take place through cooperation with scientists and the use of solutions modelled on nature.<\/p>\n<p>-Let&#8217;s solve the problem of drought together with other problems of water management &#8211; said Prof. Pawe\u0142 Rowi\u0144ski, vice president of the Polish Academy of Sciences. The problem of drought-related to the environment and climate is a priority at the Polish Academy of Sciences.
